STRN stand for Sales Tax Registration number which is issue by the FBR to every registered taxpayer. This blog post explains the complete procedure of STRN Registration in Haripur KPK. Register for sales tax with the revenue department is compulsory for the following persons.

- Exporters
- Tier-1 Retails means a retailer meets any one or more of the following categories
- Chain of national or international stores
- Air-conditioned shopping mall, plaza, or center

- The electricity bill for the preceding twelve consecutive months exceeds rupees twelve hundred thousand or 1,200,000

Application for registration applies on FBR IRIS Portal in the Form STR-1, Such application shall specify the address where the applicant is required to be registered. The criteria are given below.
- In the case of manufacture or processing, the place where the factory or the plant is situated.
- For other businesses where the actual business activities are carried out.
The scan copies of the following documents need to be attached with Application
- NTN
- Bank account certificate (Bank must be in the name of business)
- Partnership Deed For AOP
- Gas and Electricity supplier Registration or consumer number
- Rent agreement along CNIC of owners of the building or ownership documents
- The Latest paid utility bills (i.e. Electricity, Gas, landline telephone but not older than three months)
- In case of multiple branches (several locations) particulars of all branches
- GPS-tagged photographs of the business premises
- In the case of the manufacturer, also GPS-tagged photographs of machinery and industrial electricity or gas meter were installed.
After submission of above documents, the applicant is required to visit e-Sahulat Centre of NADRA within 30 days for bio-metric verification.In case of manufacturer the filed officers of FBR may visit the factory or the plant for further verification.
